The Executive and members of the Union of Jewish Women of South Africa mourn the passing of Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks.
His untimely death has robbed the Jewish people of one of the finest representatives of the Jewish world, an intellectual giant, a man whose faith shone from every word he uttered and who understood the meaning and value of life with immense humility and empathy.
His loss is incalculable; his spirit and the memory of his greatness will live on for generations; he will be sorely missed.
May his soul find comfort in Hashem’s world.
