Mandela Day – 67 Minutes

In the spirit of Mandela Day, we all came together to make a meaningful difference in our communities through a range of acts of service and kindness. Our initiative included:

• Serving warm, nourishing soup to beneficiaries.

• Distributing fresh fruit and freshly made sandwiches to those in need.

• Knitting and crocheting beanies to help keep children warm during the colder months as well as beanies with reflector yarn so that children walking to school in the dark are visible to drivers.

• Providing food supplies to vulnerable individuals and families.

• Supporting people with “Soup in a Bag” packs, enabling them to prepare nutritious soup for their families.

• Food, nappies, baby creams, toiletries to the Malawian consulate.

These collective efforts reflected the true spirit of Mandela Day by giving our time, skills, and resources to support those who need it most. Every contribution, whether through preparing meals, knitting/crocheting, donating essential food supplies and spending time with our beneficiaries, helped spread hope, compassion, and dignity within our communities.

We thank #jawitzproperties, #CCI, #halobeanies, #glenoaksschool, students and our volunteer knitters for their valuable contributions.
