A Heartwarming Moment of Kindness

This past Monday, 6th July, during our UJW knitting group, we received a call from two incredible local women who’ve opened their B&B’s to refugees.

We learned that some of the children and babies had nothing but the clothes on their backs. Without hesitation, our amazing knitters sprang into action — preparing a parcel filled with lovingly hand-knitted clothes, baby wipes, and sanitary pads for the women. The parcel was collected almost immediately and delivered with care.

At the same time, our UJW group and some of their friends at Kruger Gardens got to work making sandwiches and boiling eggs to provide nourishing meals.

It’s moments like these that remind us of the powerful difference we can make when we come together with compassion and purpose.
