UJW CAPE TOWN PROJECTS

WOMEN’S RESOURCE CENTRE:
The programme aims to maximise all women’s issues and deals with issues which significantly touch women’s lives. This Centre is also very active in Pollsmoor Women’s Prison by counselling and providing a life skills programme.

THE FLOWER GROUP:
Prepare Rosh Hashanah gifts annually and the proceeds go to:

• Highlands House
• Meals on Wheels
• Friendship Club

FRIENDSHIP CLUB:

• Provides an opportunity for senior members of the community to meet.
• Twice weekly lunches are provided at a nominal cost.
• Birthdays celebrated once a month.

YAD SARAH:

• Provides wheelchairs, zimmer frames and other medical appliances.
• Equipment available on hire. Hiring charges by donation.

KENSINGTON CRECHE:
Flagship crèche of UJW established over 60 years ago

• Educates and feeds approximately 100 children per day ranging in age from 3 years to school Reception Year.

• Valkenberg Hospital
• Victoria Hospital Women’s Trauma Unit
