Making sandwiches on Mandela Day.
Guests from the Open Air School, Tafta (Frail Care Centre) and community members making sandwiches on Mandela Day. 1000s of sandwiches were made and our invited project representatives then took their allocations away with them. The balance was delivered to other projects, homes, safe houses, etc.
Baby Clothing Donation
15 Kgs of baby clothing was donated by Australian donors and delivered by Barbara Shotland, a past UJW Durban Chairman now living in Australia. The clothing was for ‘gifting forward’ to Moms in maternity wards on Mothers’ Day. Delighted UJW members Jenny, Linda and Evelyn with Barbara (on the right)

Knysna Fire Relief
157 boxes of clothing and 40 bales of blankets were sent to Knysna following the devastating fires. Packing and sorting clothing for the Knysna Fire relief
Mitzvah Day
Residents from Durban Beth Shalom and the Izzy Gishen Home were treated to entertainment by the staff from Beth Shalom and the Izzy Gishen Choir. All guests were treated to a delicious tea.
Domestic Workers Appreciation Tea
The UJW Durban invited our very special Domestic Workers to a pamper morning where they were treated to a scrumptious tea, entertainment by Franky and Pinky, a talk by an audiologist, a presentation on hair care, a fashion show by JAM Clothing and a cooking demonstration by Pheka Cooking School. What a fabulous, fun morning!…
