Bags for New Beginnings Project

Every few months bags containing essentials needed for new-borns are delivered to clinics and hospitals in Gauteng, much to the delight and relief of the Moms.
Sandwiches delivered by Liberty on Mandela Day

After assisting UJW to make sandwiches on Mandela Day, volunteers from Liberty delivered 1000 sandwiches, as well as packets of soup, to Johannesburg Girls Preparatory School. The excited children went home with full tummies and packets of soup for their families.

UJW Jhb played fairy godmother to over 260 disadvantaged Moms who gave birth at Govt. Hospitals and Clinics on Mandela Day. The Moms received bags laden with goodies such as new blankets, baby grows, vests, beanies, bibs, booties, nappies, toiletries.

Brain Boost Stimulation Club

Attendees of the Brain Boost Stimulation Club were treated to a morning of singing by King Edward Primary School learners. Brain Boost is a therapeutic group for our community members suffering from mild to moderate memory loss. The group allows for participants to enjoy both physical and mental exercises.
